We are a traditional peasant family established in Castellví de la Marca (Alt Penedès) since 1614. Castellví de la Marca is a village located in the region of Alt Penedès with just over 1400 inhabitants, dedicated to farming and most of its inhabitants live from it. L'Hort de la Carmeta was created in 2009 as a result of the idea of giving a new air to the Solé-Gallego family farmhouse. Until then, the cultivation of vines and olive trees was the main activity of the farm, but seeing that farmers could also market our products in a more direct way was when the Huerto de la Carmeta emerged. The name Carmeta arises as a tribute that I wanted to pay to my mother, Carmeta, a lifetime dedicated to the countryside and the best recognition I could give her at the time is to be able to dedicate an activity of the farmhouse to her. The Carmeta Garden could be defined in 2 concepts: tradition and modernity.
